Habits that look “trendy and comfortable” but harm your body

Your body remembers everything. If you don’t listen to it, it will speak to you through pain.

Author: Dr. Elfana Suleymanova Medically reviewed
  • Constantly pulling the belly in — sustained tension of the abdominal muscles
  • Standing with your weight on one leg — a posture that leans to one side
  • Sitting for long periods with your legs crossed
  • Always carrying large bags on one shoulder
  • Wearing backless shoes (flip-flops, open shoes)
  • Wearing clothes that are tight around the waist or hips
  • Bending the head forward while using a phone (“text neck”)
  • Wearing corsets or tight shapewear that compresses the body
  • Wearing high heels every day and not restoring the foot’s support system

We look not at where the pain is, but at where it comes from.
