These signs may indicate poor gallbladder function. When the flow of bile is disrupted, digesting fats becomes harder and the body cannot fully absorb the nutrients it needs.
1Daily supportive measures
- Warm, still (de-gassed) mineral water in the morning and evening — stimulates bile flow
- Herbal teas after meals: immortelle (helichrysum), yarrow, mint, corn silk, ginger
- Avoiding fried and heavy, fatty foods
- Eating small amounts frequently
- A light walk after meals
- Reducing stress
2The link with visceral osteopathy
In the osteopathic approach, fascial tension in the area of the gallbladder and liver is reduced and the movement of the diaphragm is restored. This has a direct effect on bile flow and on digestion as a whole.
We look not at where the pain is, but at where it comes from.
